German astrologer and psychologist, one of the most important representatives of Uranian astrology, has written several books on Hamburg School astrology. Ruth Brummund came into contact with the Studiengesellschaft der Hamburger Schule in the late 1960s. There she was taught by Ludwig Rudolph. As Rudolph's last personal student, she benefited from Ludwig Rudolph's 60 years of practical astrological work. She wrote articles for the newsletter of the Astrological Study Society of the Hamburger Schule, systematized the planet distances for the prognosis work, calculated manually the ephemerides of the Transneptuner until 1990, published books, and held lecture and seminar series. In the 1970s Ruth Brummund prepared the first psychological interpretations of the Hamburger Schule's working methods. The combinations of planetary effects of the psychological terms in the Hamburger Schule are thus the great merit of Ruth Brummund. In order to better recognize the client's deep psychological behavior, she developed the "Mandala", a meditation disc that helps the astrologer to more easily open up the three areas of consciousness (subconscious, consciousness, superconscious) of the unity "body-soul-mind". Brummund revised the rules of the Hamburger Schule, according to his own statement, and refers to Hermann Sporner, who had already suggested this. Their further development of the Hamburger Schule's way of working is now known as "Uranian Astrology according to the Ruth Brummund system".
