Dutch landscape painter. She was the eldest daughter of the Liberal minister of finance Pieter Philip van Bosse (16 December 1809, Amsterdam – 21 February 1879, Den Haag) )and Maria Johanna Reynvaan (7 January 1809, Amsterdam - 10 February 1864, Amsterdam ). She was a niece of the sculptor Sara Stracké-van Bosse. Since 1855, she took painting lessons from the painters Hendrik van de Sande Bakhuyzen and Johannes Bosboom. Bosboom stimulated her most and in 1875 he helped with her first exposition in Den Haag. It became her declaration of independence, as her father gave her permission to paint, next to her role as his guest wife, she had taken over from her deceased mother. After her fathers death, she married on 15 April 1880 in Den Haag, the 26 years older painter Johannes Warnardus Bilders. He died of pneumonia on 29 October 1890 in Oosterbeek. She died 11 July 1900 in Wiesbaden, where she stayed for rheumatic disease. She died in the a hospital of the complications of a broken leg. Link to Wikipedia
