Vocation

Priest, Jesuit, professor, historian and academic. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1913 due to the Mexican Revolution lived in exile in Los Gatos in California, Gandia and Sarria in Spain, in San Salvador, in the Jesuit seminary Woodstock College, and the Faculty of Theology Georgetown University in the US, thus ordained priest and earned a PhD in history. He taught theology, theodicy and Church History at the Pontifical Seminary of Montezuma in New Mexico. In the 1930s, he taught English and history at the Jesuit schools in Puebla and Guadalajara, in the latter office he taught world history and history of Mexico at the Institute of Science until 1942. In 1943, he moved to Mexico City, being a professor at the Cultural Center shortly later became the Universidad Iberoamericana. In 1942, he was appointed a full member of the Mexican Academy of History, he took the chair No. 23. He was a member of the Society of Historical Sciences in Nuevo Leon, The Academy of Franciscan History in Washington DC and the Superior Council Scientific research in Madrid.
