Canadian politician and the leader of the Civic Action League. He won a landslide victory in 1954 and became the youngest Mayor of Montreal. Drapeau was defeated in 1957, but regained his post in October, 1960, and began rebuilding Montreal, adding the Place des Arts, the subway, and bringing the Expo to Montreal in 1967, and the Olympics in 1976.
