Polish lawyer, national activist. Mayor of Poznan (1919-1921). He came from an aristocratic landowning family coat of arms Gozdawa. He graduated from the legally-economics at the University of Berlin. In the years 1899 - 1903 held in Poznan judicial practice, and afterwards opened here in 1904, a law firm. In the years 1904-1905 and 1915-1918 held the office of a member of the City Council of Poznan. In November 1918 he appointed mayor, and in April 1919 the President of Poznan. He was a lover of fine arts. Especially interested in literature and theater. His literary and theater reviews he published a "Review of Poznan", "Review Wielkopolski" and Poznan weekly "work" . Thanks to the efforts of President Jarogniew Drwęskiego launched August 17, 1919 Opera Poznan, also on his initiative the city took over the Raczynski Library and the Polish Theatre.
