American musician with the Womack Brothers, an R&B quartet. The became highly popular on the gospel circuit in 1959. After meeting Sam Cooke and The Soul Stirrers, Bobby continued on his career with his brothers but also played guitar in Cooke's backup band. His song, "It's All Over Now," became a worldwide smash for the Rolling Stones. After Sam Cooke was murdered in December 1964, Bobby married Sam's widow, Barbara in February 1965. He worked as backup guitar with many stars and wrote many hit songs. Through the '70s, his circuit included groupies and narcotics. In March 1974, Bobby made a big career hit with his LP "Lookin' For A Love Again." After his brother Harry was murdered, Bobby dropped further into drugs and depression in mid-1978. It was not until 1981 that he went into rehab. He continued to make world tours, win awards, and produce other artists. Link to Wikipedia biography
