American homicide victim, age eight when he was beaten to death by his mother's boyfriend. On 2/08/1977 Ann Noski called the police from Parmatown shopping center to report that her son was missing as he had wandered off. Ten days later she told the cops that her beau had beaten the boy to death then clumsily tried to dispose of the body. Stuart Kutler (born 3/05/1946), a doctor at the local hospital, admitted killing Arthur. He had beaten the boy before, most recently three days before his death when Arthur had not finished his homework, so severely that he had to later put stitches in his face. On the day of the murder, 2/04/1977, he was punishing the boy for a minor infraction. He took the child in his room and every time the boy stood up to him, Kutler threw him around the room like a rag doll, until the boy no longer stood up. His mom wrapped his limp body in his favorite blanket and folded his hands on a prayer book. She put socks on his cold feet, in disbelief that her son was dead. Kutler pled guilty on 8/15/1977 and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. He died of double pneumonia at Marion General Hospital on 3/03/1978. Ann Noski was not indicted.
